The twelve artists featured in Thierry Goldberg Gallery’s Tailgates & Substitutes piece together memories and fragmented experiences by recreating an imagined history through sculpture, photography and painting. The works allude both to a collective art memory such as Constructivism and Minimalism as well as a personal one. Especially strong is the work of ANNA BETBEZE which feels like the next generation of ROSEMARIE TROCKELmeets ANDREA ZITTEL. On view through January 15th 2011 at the Thierry Goldberg Gallery, 103 Norfolk Street, New York.
